What does an artist in residence do? He searches, explores his surroundings and the materials at his disposal, and puts his previous artworks into perspective to produce new ones. Here, visual artist Mehdi Meddaci continues his work on migration and exile by drawing on the images and perceptions that define our time. A body of work emerges from his mental journey that is part suspension, part contemplation.
